This suburb people often believe is the Gold Coast itself. Surfers Paradise is the heart of the tourist area of the Gold Coast and so you get all the typical tourist-type things - food, shopping, bars and night clubs.

Cavill Mall provides free entertainment almost daily and after-dark is not recommended for families after 10pm to be in the centre of Surfers, typical of most tourist areas around the world.

The Indy track runs through Surfers Paradise streets, every October.

Schools close by are The Southport School (TSS) for boys, St.Hildas School for girls. Centro is the closest shopping centre. Surfside Buslines operate throughout Main Beach and Main Beach north and Broadbach south, are within walking distance. View the Gold Coast map here.
